Biography

Craig Vogel is the Co-Founder and Director of the Center for Design Research and Innovation at the University of Cincinnati, where he is also a professor at the School of Design with a focus on Industrial Design. He has extensive experience in design education, having taught at various institutions including the Institute of Design at IIT, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Cincinnati over the past 25 years. Prior to joining UC, Craig served as Co-Director of the Masters in Product Development program at Carnegie Mellon and as Associate Dean of the College of Fine Arts. He has worked as a consultant for 20 companies and has managed numerous research projects in design studios, collaborating closely with industry. Craig co-founded the Live Well Collaborative, a non-profit organization that integrates cross-functional teams to design products and services for consumers. His research interests include new product development, design strategy, and design history.
