Professor Dr. Craig Walling

Biography

Craig Walling is a Lecturer in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Edinburgh, with a research focus on evolution, life history traits, lifespan, reproduction, and aging. His lab employs a combination of laboratory experiments and long-term field data, utilizing quantitative genetic approaches to address significant questions in these fields. Walling's journey in academia began with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from the University of Wales, Bangor, followed by an MSc in Ecology from the same institution. He completed his PhD in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Glasgow. His career has seen him take on several roles, including Chancellor's fellow and post-doctoral research assistant at the University of Edinburgh, as well as a post-doctoral position at the University of Exeter. Walling continues to contribute to the academic community through publications and ongoing research initiatives.
