Biography

Craig White is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Planning and Architecture at the University of the West of England (UWE) Bristol. With over 28 years of experience in architectural practice across the UK and Europe, he specializes in low energy sustainable design. Craig is a graduate of the Welsh School of Architecture and holds an Architectural Association Diploma. His design approach is innovative and is grounded in a thorough understanding of practical delivery. He has served as a Design Advice consultant for the Carbon Trust and was involved with the UK's Low Carbon Buildings Programme. Additionally, he was a board member of the Timber Research and Development Association and chaired the Wood Gold initiative, contributing to the production of the 'Greenest Games Ever' for the London 2012 Olympics. Craig leads White Design's Research Practice agenda and is actively involved in funded research projects related to sustainable low carbon design and construction. In 2010, he was appointed a Visiting Fellow at the Systems Centre at the University of Bristol, where he continues to teach architectural design with a strong emphasis on sustainability principles.
