Biography

Cristian Badarinza is an Associate Professor in the Department of Real Estate at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. He is also a Research Fellow at the Institute of Real Estate Studies and a Network Associate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London. His research interests focus on real estate finance, household finance, and financial economics. Dr. Badarinza has previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and was a Research Assistant in the Monetary Policy Research Division at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. He has obtained both his PhD and MSc in Economics from Goethe University. Dr. Badarinza is part of the Initiative on International Comparative Household Finance, which connects academics worldwide to explore household financial markets such as mortgages, pensions, and risky asset markets and to establish international practices.
