Biography

Cristian R. Rojas is a Professor at the Division of Decision Control Systems at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. He received his M.S. degree in electronics engineering from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Valparaíso, Chile, in 2004, and his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, in 2008. He has been with the Royal Institute of Technology since October 2008. His research interests include system identification, signal processing, and machine learning. He is an active member of several academic societies, including the IEEE and the IFAC Technical Committees. Additionally, he serves as an Associate Editor for the IFAC journal 'Automatica' and for the IEEE Control Systems Letters. Rojas is also involved in various educational courses, including Machine Learning Theory and Mathematical Methods for Signals, Systems, and Control, where he takes on roles such as examiner and course responsible.
