Biography

Cristina Della Coletta is the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities at the University of California, San Diego, appointed in August 2014. She holds the Chancellor's Associates Chair in Italian Literature and has previously served as Associate Dean in Humanities and Arts at the University of Virginia, where she was a Professor in the Italian Department. She has received several teaching and mentoring awards and has lectured widely in the United States and Europe. Della Coletta has been involved in various leadership and administrative capacities aimed at enhancing interdisciplinary studies within the arts and humanities.
