Dr. Cristobal Garcia Herrera

Biography

Cristobal Garcia Herrera is a Senior Teaching Fellow and researcher at Imperial College Business School, specializing in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship. He co-founded Wicked Acceleration Labs and conducts research focused on modalities of acceleration, corporate innovation, start-up scaling, ecosystem building, wicked acceleration frameworks, and tools that orient practice. He has advised companies globally on novel strategies and practices for corporate innovation and entrepreneurial engagement. Cristobal has published articles in the fields of Organizational Networks, Creative Spaces, and Innovation, and he has authored a book on Lean Entrepreneurship Education. As a founder of start-ups in the Smart City and EdTech Data Analytics domains, Cristobal played an instrumental role in Jump Chile, one of the largest business model accelerators in Higher Education worldwide. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Consultant at PwC in New York City, advising Fortune 100 companies on innovation management. His academic credentials include positions at Pontificia Universidad Catolica in Chile and Columbia University, along with visiting scholar roles at Delft University of Technology, the Royal College of Art, MIT Media Lab, and Stanford's Technology Ventures Program. Cristobal, a social scientist with an MSc from MIT and a PhD in Design Engineering from Imperial College London, is also a frequent speaker, corporate advisor, and start-up coach who seeks to connect global dots through innovative networks.
