Dr. Cristóbal Garibay Petersen

Biography

Cristóbal Garibay-Petersen is a Fellow in European Philosophy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He received his Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Essex, where he focused on Kant’s metaphysics of time. His current research centers on metaphysics, ontologies, and forms of idealism, particularly in the context of nineteenth and twentieth-century European philosophy. He has taught courses primarily in logic and metaphysics, with broader interests that include the history of thought and the histories of ideas. His expertise includes Transcendental Idealism, German Idealism, nineteenth-century European philosophy, and twentieth-century Continental philosophy.
