Dr. Crystal Aguh

Biography

Crystal U. Aguh is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and serves as the Director of the Ethnic Skin Program. Her research primarily focuses on skin conditions that disproportionately affect minority populations, with a particular emphasis on conditions such as scarring alopecia. Dr. Aguh has authored several books on hair loss and has published over a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles. She is an active speaker, having given multiple lectures and presentations at both national and international conferences. Dr. Aguh is recognized for her significant contributions to dermatology, receiving numerous prestigious research awards and grants from organizations including the National Institutes of Health and the Dermatology Foundation. Her educational background includes completing her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins, where she also served as chief resident during her final year.
