Dr. Crystal Patil

Biography

Crystal Patil is a Professor and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. With a PhD from Ohio State University, her research focuses on implementation science, reproductive and sexual health, food nutrition, chronic pain conditions, and global health. Dr. Patil is recognized for her clinical and community-based intervention research, aiming to improve health outcomes for diverse populations around the world. She is an expert in adapting and implementing evidence-based interventions to various community clinic settings, including prenatal care, HIV prevention, and sickle cell disease management. Dr. Patil's commitment to collaboration extends to mentoring colleagues and students. She has received accolades such as the Distinguished Mentor Faculty Award from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Nursing and holds several current research grants from prestigious institutions including the National Institutes of Health.
