Biography

Cuiying Jian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at York University. Before joining York, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She obtained her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta and holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, respectively, from Harbin Institute of Technology. Dr. Jian has received multiple awards and honors, acknowledging her contributions to the field of engineering and research, including a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad.
