Biography

Curt Hagquist is a Professor of Public Health at the University of Gothenburg, where he has been engaged since October 2020. He holds an honorary appointment at the Kids Research Institute in Australia. His research interests primarily focus on adolescent mental health, particularly the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, epidemiology, Rasch Measurement Theory, and social determinants of health. As an educator, he teaches courses related to Rasch Measurement Theory and has supervised multiple PhD students. His extensive experience includes leadership roles in significant research initiatives concerning child and adolescent mental health, funded by agencies such as NordForsk and the Swedish Research Council, demonstrating a commitment to improving the understanding and conditions of youth mental health both in Sweden and internationally.
