Biography

Curt von Keyserlingk is a Reader in theoretical physics at King's College London, specializing in the study of interacting quantum systems, including electrons in metals and qubits in quantum computers. His research investigates exotic and robust phenomena such as superconductivity, topological order, localization, and time crystallinity. He actively develops analytical and numerical tools to understand these phenomena and their practical applications, particularly in quantum computing. His research interests extend to many-body physics, quantum information theory, open quantum systems, and quantum error correction. Previously, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Princeton Center for Theoretical Science and completed his DPhil at the University of Oxford under Professor Steve Simon. He holds an MMath from the University of Cambridge. Von Keyserlingk contributes to the advancement of theoretical modeling techniques suitable for studying complex materials and molecular systems.
