Biography

Cydnee Seneviratne is a Professor (Teaching) at the University of Calgary, where she has been involved since 1995. She initially pursued her Master’s degree in Nursing and became an instructor in 2001. Dr. Seneviratne received funding from the CIHR Strategic Training Program in Health Research for her PhD in 2007, and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship funded by the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada under Dr. Kathryn King-Shier in January 2010. Her scholarship focuses on interprofessional practice, mentorship, teaching, and learning, and she actively contributes to the academic community through her courses and research initiatives. She has been recognized with multiple awards for her contributions to nursing education, including the CARNA Nursing Excellence Education Award in 2017 and the Covenant Health Faculty of Nursing Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2015.
