Dr. Cynthia Jasper

Biography

Cynthia Jasper is a Vaughan Bascom Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the School of Human Ecology. Her research interests encompass consumer behavior management in retail settings, women's philanthropy, and succession management in family businesses. She has authored significant works, including the publication titled 'Women’s Leadership Philanthropy' in the Encyclopedia of Nonprofit Organizations. In addition to her teaching and research roles, she has held leadership positions such as chair of the Civil Society & Community Studies department and chair of the University of Wisconsin Library Committee. Cynthia is also involved in the American Council on Consumer Interests where she served as treasurer. Her diverse experience in academia is further enriched by her extensive publication history, showcasing her contributions to the fields of nonprofit organizations and consumer insights.
