Dr. Cynthia Martinez

Biography

Cynthia Martinez is an administrator and educator with over twenty years of experience in higher education. She currently serves as the Dean of Students at Keck Graduate Institute, providing leadership and direction to enhance student experiences and engagement. Past roles include Interim Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Executive Director of Advisement Academic Services at USC Annenberg, where she demonstrated expertise in managing change, problem-solving, and communication. Before her career in higher education, she was a healthcare administrator focused on resources for cancer patients at City of Hope National Cancer Institute. At USC Annenberg, Martinez teaches in the Master's program for Communication Management and has previously taught at the USC Rossier School of Education and the University of San Diego. She actively presents at professional conferences and is a member of several professional associations, focusing on global leadership and emotional intelligence in educational settings.
