Dr. Cynthia Wu

Biography

Cynthia Wu is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan. She earned her B.Eng. in Ocean Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Ocean Science from the University of California, San Diego. Wu's research focuses on the dynamics and energetics associated with waves and turbulence in the ocean-atmosphere system. By employing both theoretical and numerical approaches, she aims to advance the understanding of these interactions and their broader implications for the Earth system.
