Biography

Cyrus Kosar is a health services researcher and health economist whose research broadly pertains to the delivery of care within the Medicare Program. His specific areas of focus include post-acute care, long-term care, end-of-life care, rural health care, risk adjustment, Medicare Advantage, and the impact of extreme weather events on Medicare spending. He is currently the principal investigator of a National Institute on Aging-funded R01 grant that provides evidence on the impact of post-acute and long-term care policies. Kosar conducts evaluations of healthcare policies and practices and teaches courses related to health policy analysis.
