Dr. D Dungan

Biography

Peter Dungan is an Associate Professor Emeritus specializing in Economic Analysis and Policy. With his extensive background, he has a unique focus on computer simulation models for the Canadian and Ontario economies. His work has laid the foundation for developing short-term and long-term economic forecasts in Canada and Ontario. He is currently the Director of Rotman’s Policy Economic Analysis Program and teaches courses in Macroeconomics at the Rotman School and the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Dungan's research interests include Central Banks, Exchange Rates, Fiscal Policy, Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy, Public Policy, and Recessions. His contributions also include media engagements across various platforms such as TV, Radio, and Print/Online outlets. Dungan received his PhD and MA from Princeton University, where he honed his analytical skills, before completing his undergraduate studies at York University in Toronto. He has previously taught forecasting models and econometric methods as part of the Rotman MBA program.
