Biography

Dale Roberts is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Western Australia and Senior Honorary Research Fellow with a PhD in Zoology from the University of Adelaide. He has been employed at the University of Western Australia since 1978, previously serving as the Inaugural Head of the School of Animal Biology from 2001 to 2006. He has supervised 32 PhD completions and is currently involved in the Frog ID citizen science program at the Australian Museum in Sydney. His research interests include frog taxonomy, amphibian biology, speciation, conservation biology, and biogeography in Australia. Roberts has been awarded numerous research grants, including significant funding from the Australian Research Council for projects focused on genetic diversity and evolutionary processes. Roberts has also held editorial roles, including on the editorial board for the journal Animal Behaviour.
