Biography

Damien Ming is a research fellow at the Fleming Initiative and an honorary consultant in infectious diseases at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. His research focuses on the implementation of digital health interventions at the intersection of healthcare data and diagnostic modalities. He completed his PhD at the Centre for Antimicrobial Optimisation, where he examined the application of machine learning and novel data methodologies in the context of acute febrile illnesses in low- and middle-income settings, supervised by Alison Holmes, Pantelis Georgiou, and Sophie Yacoub at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Vietnam. He has collaborated closely with the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) on healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance. He also has experience in clinical research projects in Malawi, Laos, and Vietnam. Damien completed his undergraduate clinical training at the University of Oxford in 2009 and holds a diploma in tropical medicine and hygiene from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
