Biography

Dan Adelman is a leading expert in business analytics, assisting firms and institutions in deploying data for decision analysis to build world-class strategic and tactical management capabilities. His lab has been involved in various initiatives such as population health, hospital readmissions, and nurse benchmarking. Additionally, he has served as an Area Editor for Operations Research, a premier journal in the field, and teaches regularly in Booth's Executive MBA Program. Dr. Adelman earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research in 1997 from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has also obtained undergraduate and master’s degrees in industrial engineering and operations research, respectively. He is a recipient of the George B. Dantzig Prize for his dissertation work in operations research and management sciences relevant to innovative business practices.
