Biography

Dan Kasen received a B.S. from Stanford University and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from UC Berkeley. He joined the faculty at Berkeley in 2010 after serving as an Alan C. Davis fellow at Johns Hopkins University and a Hubble fellow at UC Santa Cruz. His research contributions have significantly impacted the fields of Astrophysics and Nuclear Physics, where he is recognized as an expert theorist. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he is jointly appointed to the Nuclear Science Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
