Biography

Dan Levy is a Senior Lecturer in Public Policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he focuses on enhancing transparency and accountability in health service delivery in developing countries. He has served as the co-principal investigator on the Transparency Development (T4D) project, designing mixed-method evaluations to improve interventions in this area. Levy oversaw the training component for the Building Capacity for Using Research Evidence (BCURE) project, guiding policymakers through evidence-based strategies in both online and in-person formats. His research includes directing impact evaluations of girl-friendly school construction programs in Burkina Faso and Niger, as well as evaluating conditional cash transfer programs in Jamaica. He has provided technical assistance for Mexico's Social Development Ministry (Sedesol) and is a faculty affiliate at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (JPAL), the Center for International Development (CID), and the Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) at the Ash Center. Levy co-founded Teachly, a web application dedicated to assisting faculty members in teaching effectively and inclusively.
