Biography

Dan Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Washington. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and M.S. in Statistics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Automotive Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. Her research interests focus on developing new data-driven algorithms that enhance the cyber-physical resilience and security of critical infrastructures. Dan is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award and the IISE Transactions Application Paper Award. She has also been recognized with multiple awards including Track Paper and Student Paper Awards from various divisions of IISE Annual Meetings and the INFORMS QSR community. Her current research projects include understanding integrated cyber-physical resilience in continuous critical manufacturing systems and creating a human-centered cybersecurity framework for robotic surgery. She aims to integrate modeling, detection, and control measures to address vulnerabilities in IIoT networks within dynamic manufacturing processes. Additionally, she is involved in developing algorithms that account for cybersecurity awareness in healthcare environments.
