Biography

Dan Perry is an Honorary Professor and an Honorary Consultant Children's Orthopaedic Surgeon at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool. He earned his MBChB with Honours and his PhD from the University of Liverpool, where he also holds the position of NIHR Research Professor. Perry's research focuses on children's trauma and orthopaedics, including emergency care and various trials such as FORCE, SCIENCE, and CRAFFT. He completed his clinical training in Liverpool and Warwick, followed by a fellowship at SickKids Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Perry joined the University of Oxford as a member of the Oxford Trauma and Emergency Care group and became a fellow of Wolfson College, Oxford. He is a lead researcher in children's trauma, overseeing studies with a portfolio exceeding £35 million funded primarily by the UK National Institute of Health Research (NIHR). Perry is also an Associate Editor for the Bone & Joint Journal and is involved in national screenings for hip health as well as supervising PhD students in the field.
