Biography

Professor Dan Rogers completed his MEng in Electrical Electronic Engineering in 2007 and his PhD in Control Power from the Imperial College London in 2011. He has served as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the CIREGS group at the School of Engineering at Cardiff University before joining the University of Oxford in 2016 as an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Science. His research focuses on electrical power conversion, power systems, power electronics, energy storage, and microgrids. Professor Rogers' research group develops power electronics technology for applications in the grid, industry, and transport. He works across a broad area including circuits, systems control for power electronics, and is involved in the design and implementation of large-scale modular multi-level energy storage systems and resilient microgrids. His work is key to enabling future grids and transport systems and involves collaboration with colleagues in the power systems and transport sectors both in the UK and internationally.
