His work has appeared in leading disciplinary journals such as the American Journal of Political Science and World Politics, as well as area-focused journals like Critical Asian Studies. Slater received his B.A. in international relations and history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his M.A. in international studies from the University of Washington.
