Biography

Dan Zahavi is a professor of philosophy at the University of Copenhagen and director of the Center for Subjectivity Research. His primary research interests are in phenomenology, philosophy of mind, and cognitive science, with a focus on topics such as selfhood, self-consciousness, intersubjectivity, social cognition, temporality, shame, and empathy. Zahavi has authored several influential books, including 'Husserl’s Phenomenology' (Stanford, 2003), 'Subjectivity and Selfhood' (MIT Press, 2005), 'Phenomenological Mind' (Routledge, 2008, co-authored with S.
