Biography

Dr. Dana Loke is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is actively involved in undergraduate medical education and holds various leadership positions within the Veterans Hospital and the Emergency Department. Dr. Loke's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology and Immunology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a Master’s in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from Northwestern University, and an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident, and furthered his education through a fellowship in Medical Education at Northwestern. Dr. Loke's research interests span across medical education, clinical teaching skills, simulation-based mastery learning, healthcare quality, and patient safety, with a focus on enhancing resident education and physician wellness. He has received several awards, including the Dr. David Salzman Junior Faculty Award and the Faculty Innovator Education Award. His contributions to emergency medicine education and practice are recognized nationally and internationally through his involvement with Foundations Emergency Medicine.
