Biography

Dana B. Morris, PhD, is a licensed psychologist affiliated with Rhode Island Hospital's Adult Partial Hospital Program, where she provides acceptance-based mindfulness therapies to adults facing a variety of acute psychiatric symptoms. As the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) coordinator for the program, Dr. Morris ensures that therapeutic interventions are accessible and effective for diverse populations. She obtained her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Western Michigan University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake Division. Following her doctorate, she earned a post-doctoral fellowship at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University through the Providence VA, with a focus on general mental health and acceptance-based therapies for a diverse range of presenting problems, including post-traumatic stress disorder and couple's therapy. Her research interests include transdiagnostic factors, quality improvement, and clinical behavior analysis.
