Biography

Danae Azaria is an award-winning public international lawyer and Associate Professor at University College London (UCL), where she leads a research group funded by the European Research Council. Her work includes significant contributions to public international law, particularly concerning interstate proceedings in international courts and tribunals. Azaria is a recognized expert, having received numerous awards, including the Guggenheim Prize in Public International Law in 2017 and the Tenekides Prize from the Hellenic Society for International Law and Relations. She has published widely in leading legal journals and serves on various editorial boards, enhancing scholarship in the field. In addition to her academic responsibilities, Azaria regularly lends her expertise to governments and international organizations, advising on complex legal issues and inter-state disputes.
