Biography

Professor of Robot Vision in the Department of Computer Science at University College London, Danail Stoyanov serves as Co-Director of the UCL Hawkes Institute and holds the Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Institute of Engineering and Technology, Academy of Medical Sciences, MICCAI Society, and the Royal Academy of Engineering. His research focuses on developing surgical robotics and utilizing artificial intelligence to improve minimally invasive interventions. He has held various academic positions at University College London, including Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer, and has been involved in numerous research initiatives concerning interventional surgical sciences.
