Biography

Daniel Amyot joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa in February 2002. He has served as a Senior Researcher at Mitel Networks between 2002 and 2013 and has been an Associate Rapporteur for formal languages in telecommunication software at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T). His main research area is Requirements Engineering, where he has developed requirements modeling analysis approaches and led the development of the User Requirements Notation (URN) standard, including the jUCMNav tool for URN modeling and analysis. His work includes research on Business Process Modeling (BPM) and its alignment with artificial intelligence and Process Mining, particularly in healthcare contexts. Amyot's interests involve the intersection of BPM with new technologies and how these impact change management strategies in healthcare. He is also actively involved in teaching and researching at the LIFE Research Institute and the Institut du Savoir Montfort.
