Dr. Daniel Ciolkosz

Biography

Daniel Ciolkosz is an Associate Research Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. He serves as the BRS Graduate Program Coordinator and is involved in research focusing on bioenergy, biomass energy systems, thermochemical conversion, energy efficiency, and controlled environment agriculture. He also evaluates solar energy resources critically. Ciolkosz earned his B.A.E. in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1992, followed by a M.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the same university in 1994. He completed his Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering at Cornell University in 2000. He is dedicated to advancing sustainable practices within the agricultural sector through innovative research and teaching. His course, A B E 589 - Management Design Renewable Energy Sustainability Systems, reflects his commitment to education in renewable energy management and the sustainability sector.
