Biography

Daniel Conner is a Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University, specializing in Classics. He completed his Ph.D. and M.A. in Classics at the University of Washington and earned a B.A. in Classical Studies from Willamette University. In 2016, he participated in the classical seminar at the Rome Center of the University of Washington. His academic accomplishments include receiving the Presidential Fellowship through the Graduate Opportunities and Minority Achievement Program at the University of Washington from 2013 to 2018, as well as the Phillip Estelle DeLacy Fellowship for Classical Seminar Rome in 2016 and the Graduate Recognition Award from the Phillip Estelle DeLacy Endowed Fellowship Fund in 2015. Conner's research interests focus on Imperial Literature, particularly Latin epic poetry, with a specific emphasis on the work of Silius Italicus, as well as Neoteric and Neo-Latin poetry. He has actively presented his research at multiple academic conferences, including the Classical Association Pacific Northwest and the Classical Association Midwest South.
