Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Daniel Constam. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Daniel Constam received his doctoral degree in Natural Sciences from ETH Zürich. He performed postdoctoral studies as an EMBO fellow at Harvard University and subsequently became a group leader at the Swiss cancer research institute ISREC, where he is currently a tenured Associate Professor at the School of Life Sciences at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). His research has uncovered important functions of activin receptor ligands and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMP), along with the roles of transforming growth factor (TGF)-β family members in regulating development and cancer. His group demonstrated significant findings in the image-based study of protease activities within cell tissue compartments and developed specific genetically validated biosensors. Additionally, they discovered the role of cilia in the stimulation of activin receptor signaling in response to fluid flow.
