Biography

Daniel De Haan is a Research Fellow at the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion within the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford. He is the Principal Investigator for the project ‘Conceptual Clarity Human Nature,’ which is funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation. Prior to his current position, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Faculty of Divinity at the University of Cambridge, focusing on the neuroscience aspect of the Templeton Fellowships in Theology, Philosophy, and the Sciences, directed by Sarah Coakley. His research has explored the intersections of theology and science, particularly the dialogue between philosophical theology and psychological neuroscience, collaborating with Lisa Saksida's Translational Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory in the Department of Psychology at Cambridge.
