Biography

Daniel Diamond is a proud member of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation and a graduate of the University of Toronto's J.D. and LL.M. programs. He currently serves as the lead editor of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Indigenous Inaakonigewin (IJII) and the Manitoba Law Journal (MLJ). His research interests span Indigenous legal traditions, Aboriginal law, legal theory, property law, and legal history, focusing on historic injustices and contemporary efforts at redress. His work synthesizes legal history and legal theory while analyzing Indigenous legal and political issues. He currently teaches Contracts, Indigenous Methodologies, and Perspectives on Indigenous Legal Orders.
