Biography

Daniel G. Federman, M.D., F.A.C.P., graduated from Swarthmore College and New York University School of Medicine, completing his internship, residency, and chief residency at the University of Miami. He began his academic career at the University of Miami and is currently a Professor of Medicine and Vice-Chair of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. Additionally, he serves as Chief of Medicine of the VA Connecticut Health Care System. In addition to providing clinical care to veterans, Dr. Federman has published extensively on topics related to quality care, cancer screening, battlefield acupuncture, venous disease, and peripheral arterial disease. He is actively involved in various journal editorial boards, has over 200 publications, and regularly lectures nationally. He is also a recipient of multiple teaching awards.
