Biography

Daniel Garcia is a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Stuart Weitzman School of Design and co-principal of DRAWINGS, an architecture design practice based in Brooklyn, New York, and Portland, Oregon. His work explores design medium experimentation and cultural expression, incorporating insights from a broad range of disciplines. Recent projects include an outdoor theater-in-the-round, a 50-meter-long shade structure, a scalable affordable carbon-conscious community-owned housing model, and a series of hydrological structures aimed at reshaping human relationships with the environment. These projects address critical water challenges and restore rural wetland habitats. He has taught at California College of the Arts and his individual and collaborative work has been recognized and featured in prominent publications such as Architect’s Newspaper, Disc Journal, Divisare, Metropolis, and Interior Design Magazine. Daniel holds a Master of Architecture degree with distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California College of the Arts. He is a registered architect in New York State.
