Dr. Daniel Guevara Pineda

Biography

Daniel Guevara-Pineda, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Nephrology) at Yale School of Medicine. He focuses on kidney transplantation and glomerular disease management, with a commitment to enhancing medical education and clinical care for the Hispanic community. Dr. Guevara-Pineda received his medical degree from Federico Villarreal University in Peru and completed his internal medicine residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. He later pursued nephrology fellowship training at the University of Connecticut and a transplant nephrology fellowship at Duke University. Passionate about teaching and mentorship, he strives to prepare future physicians and improve access to kidney care. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Guevara-Pineda has presented his research at various distinguished conferences and has received multiple awards for his contributions to academic medicine, including recognition for excellence in teaching.
