Dr. Daniel Guillery

Biography

Daniel Guillery is a fellow at the London School of Economics, specializing in moral political philosophy. His recent work has delved into the moral claims pertaining to land use and ownership, notably exploring land-related wrongdoings tied to proprietorial claims over territory. His current research project seeks to illuminate pressing political issues, including gentrification and the injustices prevalent at the local level in urban settings. With a keen interest in cultural dynamics, state legitimacy, property rights, and anarchism, Guillery’s research extends to various facets of urban political philosophy. He has previously engaged with the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick and the University of Chicago Law School, and has worked in philosophy departments at University College London. Guillery completed his PhD in political philosophy at UCL, and his scholarly work has been published in notable journals such as Politics, Philosophy Economics and the Journal of Ethics and Social Philosophy.
