Dan Lisowski rejoined the University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty in fall 2009, having spent the previous academic year as a resident. He previously worked for several years as the Head of Electrical Design at Fisher Technical Services, a leading automation control equipment company. Dan continues to work on significant international entertainment automation control projects while teaching and serving as the Head of the Theatre Technology MFA program. His notable design management projects include work on Cirque du Soleil's ZED™, Macau's City Dreams’ Bubble Show, and the production of “Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark.” He has also worked with Chicago Scenic Studios, Hudson Scenic Studio, and ZFX Flying Effects. As a member of the USITT PLASA’s Rigging Working Group, Dan was honored with the Frederick Buerki Golden Hammer Scenic Technology Award in 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and Drama from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Fine Arts in Technical Design and Production from the Yale School of Drama. Dan is married to Meghan, who is also a UW alum, and they have five children.
