Biography

Daniel Norell is a Swedish architect and a senior lecturer at Chalmers University of Technology, where he focuses on Architectural Theory and Method within Architecture and Civil Engineering. He co-founded the architecture practice Norell/Rodhe and has extensive teaching experience, having taught at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Porto Academy, and Städelschule Architecture Class in Frankfurt. Between 2015 and 2020, he served as the Director of the Master’s Programme in Architecture Urban Design at Chalmers. His research centers on theoretical inquiries into design, particularly the role of architectural representation and the conception and production of architecture. Norell's research work has been published in various academic journals and edited volumes, and his exhibitions have been featured at notable venues such as the Aedes Architecture Forum, ArkDes, Bildmuseet, Bruges Triennial, Oslo Architecture Triennale, Venice Architecture Biennale, and Yale University School of Architecture.
