Biography

Dr. Daniel Peters is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. He serves as the Division Head for Plastics within the Clinical Epidemiology Program, where he is also a Clinician Investigator. Dr. Peters completed his medical doctorate at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, followed by residency training in Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at the University of British Columbia. He further honed his skills with fellowship training in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital for Sick Children and in Adult Craniomaxillofacial Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center, both at the University of Toronto. His research interests focus on Pediatric and Adult Craniofacial Surgery, including topics such as Craniosynostosis, Craniofacial Syndromes, traumatic oncologic reconstruction, and Aesthetic Facial Surgery. Dr. Peters is dedicated to improving surgical outcomes and advancing knowledge in these specialized areas of medicine.
