Dr. Daniel Pittich

Biography

Daniel Pittich conducts research in modeling diagnostics competences levels, evidence-based conception, and implementation of teaching and learning in technical education. His work emphasizes didactic development, digitalization, Industry 4.0, and learning factories within the context of production technology and competence-oriented curricular implementation processes, particularly in teacher education for vocational technical contexts. He has a strong background in vocational training, particularly in wood technology and mathematics for vocational schools. Pittich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Education and a Master of Education from Leibniz University in Hannover. He previously worked as an academic research associate in the field of Technical Training Learning at TU Darmstadt and was awarded a junior professorship in technical education at the University of Siegen in 2015. In November 2018, he was appointed Assistant Professor of Technical Education (Tenure Track) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) School of Education, and in 2021 he became a member of the TUM School of Engineering and Design.
