Daniel Thomas Price, MD, is a highly accomplished cardiologist and associate professor of medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 1990 and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1994. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Price undertook an internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham & Women's Hospital, which is associated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. He then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Boston Medical Center/Boston University. Dr. Price has held numerous academic and clinical appointments throughout his career. He became an attending physician at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2001 and has been a full-time academic faculty member since 2013. In addition, he holds several administrative positions, currently serving as the vice chief of ambulatory operations in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine and the associate chair of clinical operations in the Department of Internal Medicine. He is also the ambulatory medical director of the Heart and Vascular Center at the Yale New Haven Health System. Dr. Price is board-certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds additional certifications from the National Board of Echocardiography. He has received several professional honors, including the ACC-Merck Fellowship Award from the American College of Cardiology in 2000. His research has focused on thromboembolic disease, cardiovascular adaptations to exercise, endothelial dysfunction, and vascular nitric oxide bioavailability.
