Daniel Prieto-Alhambra is a Professor at the University of Oxford, where he heads the Pharmaco-Device Epidemiology section at the Health Data Sciences unit within the Botnar Institute of Musculoskeletal Science. He is a NIHR Senior Research Fellow and has a focus on utilizing routinely collected health data, also known as real-world data, to generate reliable evidence aimed at improving patient care. In February 2022, he became the Deputy Director of the European Medicines Agency's Data Analysis and Real World Interrogation Network (DARWIN EU) Coordination Centre, where he oversees the development of analytical tools for regulatory purposes.
