Biography

Daniel W. Leon serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Classics at the University of Illinois. He earned his B.A. from Macalester College, M.A. from the University of Michigan, and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. His primary research area centers around Greek and Roman historical narratives, with a specific focus on the political uses of the past and intercultural relations. Moreover, another book in progress delves into the reign of Philip Arrhidaeus, examining its symbolic significance against the backdrop of modern Greek nationalism.
